Mission Statement
The purpose of the Elevation Career Network Ministry is to educate the FBHP community with skills that will assist with obtaining viable employment, providing support throughout the job search process, increasing individuals with workforce opportunities, and understanding entrepreneurship. According to Christian principles and a strong business network, the Elevation Employment Ministry’s ultimate goal is to empower and enrich the lives of the FBHP community by offering training, coaching, and services from experts.
History
The Elevation Employment Ministry at FBHP began as a resource for members searching for jobs
following the COVID-19 international pandemic. Members experienced in leadership, career
coaching, professional development, training, employment services, benefit navigation, and
technology make up the Elevation Team.

Tami Hill Thomas
Tami Hill Thomas is an award-winning government and human services advisor, international corporate trainer, certified executive and transformational coach, and law enforcement chaplain. With more than 20 years of experience, Tami has a proven record of building community-based initiatives, increasing system capacity, and establishing innovative approaches that maximize human capital and performance-based partnerships. Tami leads multiple federal task force teams and works with state and local government officials to strategize on program implementation and the implications of government policy. Tami is the CEO of a consulting firm leading an international team of experts across several disciplines and is also a respected confidant who sits on several non-profit boards and government leadership groups by political appointment.
Renee Johnson
Renee Johnson is a seasoned, human resources professional with more than 20 years of experience working across a wide array of human capital disciplines, including diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and organizational development, workforce planning and employee relations. Over the course of her career, Renee has served as an internal consultant and business advisor to senior leadership for several prominent organizations within government contracting, manufacturing, sales and retail environments, and currently leads the diversity, equity and inclusion function for a leading international conservation organization.
Veronica “Roni” Price
Veronica “Roni” Price is a Senior Contracting Officer and Supervisor in the Federal Government with 19 years of Federal Service, 17 of which have been in Federal Acquisitions and Grants. Veronica is Federal Acquisition Career (FAC-C) Level III certified and is a mentor, coach and leader; with a work portfolio that encompasses a plethora of high-profile, complex, politically driven, high-dollar value procurements for domestic and international services. Roni is an Excellence in Government (EIG) Fellow, a Certified Diversity Change Agent (DCA), National Contracting Management Association (NCMA) member, Strayer University volunteer mentor, and a senior mentor to multiple acquisition staff. She is the recipient of multiple awards for leadership and policy development, the most notable being the Martin Luther King Drum Major of Service award which is earned by individuals who have demonstrated sacrificial service and leadership in achieving human dignity, racial equality and racial harmony; leading through outreach, mission-driven service volunteerism, and ministry.
William “Will” Brownlee
William “Will” Brownlee is an Army Veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the areas of Business Development, Recruiting/Staffing, Job Mentoring, Labor Market Assessment, Job Readiness Consultation, Internship Development, as well as Records Management, and Dignitary Protection which covers the Department of Defense, Naval Sea Systems Command and Department of the Navy and of the Department of State. William currently functions as the Prince George’s County Business Services Representative for the Maryland Department of Education (MSDE)-Division of Rehabilitation (DORS) where he administers Workforce Development and Disability Awareness/Etiquette support to businesses in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. William is also an Americans with Disability Act (ADA) Leadership Network Trainer, a Certified Federal Job Search Trainer, and a Certified Federal Career Coach.
Marian Williams
Marian Williams is a Human Services Consultant with over 25 years of experience in Special Education and Social Services. Her life’s journey has included teaching in public education, community college and the correctional system. She has also worn many hats in the field of social work where she has been blessed to work with “the least of these.” Marian is the Director of the Purpose and Peace Foundation and lives in Maryland with her husband, Rev. Emanuel Williams, and their daughter.
Tonja Palmer
Tonja Palmer is Founder and former CEO of the Hannah Johnson Community Development Corporation. A one-on-one mentor/training program connecting at risk youth with positive and stable mentors for guidance to promote educational and lifestyle changes and preparations to become upstanding citizens for the betterment of the community to which they live. Tonja coaches and mentors professionals in various areas including professional development, media, and entertainment.
Omar M. Boulware
Omar M. Boulware currently serves as a Congressional Relations Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this capacity, Omar is responsible for providing advice to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and other senior leaders in the Department on matters related to Congressional interests within his portfolio. Following Omar’s service in the United States Navy, He was appointed by Maryland Governor to serve as a Commissioner on the Maryland Fire-Rescue and Education Commission (MFRETC), as a member of the Prince George’s County Personnel Board, Commissioner on the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, and was elected by his fellow Commissioners to serve as Chairman of the Commission from June 2014 to June 2015.
